I wrote and recorded this today using that riff from the other night, with my Gibson V.

But in this recording, I used the white explorer in Drop B. I'll probably retrack parts, it's just a draft right now.

SM 58 thru a TC helicon harmony-g xt. for the voice double, no octaves or other effects.
I might redo them again. I have a hard time with vocals, I only sing because there is nobody else

I noticed a Sennheiser 609(or 906-maybe...they kinda look alike to me) hanging on a cab there....have you ever tried it for vocals?

It's an e609, I love the form factor! Just hang it and forget it!

Only tried vocals with it once, it was a bit bright if I remember.

I keep saying that I have to pick one up...but I have stuff that makes me happy, and COVID has band practice (or recordings of) down....

Brought the JSX home from the rehearsal space tonight so it will be here when I get new tubes for it.
Tung-Sol 6L6's on order.

Messing around with a new riff playing back and forth between cabinets. This is the k100/T-75 cab.

Are you using one of those drop pedals that can put you in multiple tunings ?

No, I just tune guitars different.
I keep heavy strings on the explorers and run them drop B or C#
Usually keep the Jackson warrior and the Gibson's in 9s or 10s and std or drop D
Jackson king V gets switched around a lot ...
Keep the Dean in 10s and half step down.

Thanks for the quick reply, that’s what I do as well, have yet to dedicate one to C# standard, that one will get 11-54’s on it, the same as my strats that get D standard tuning.

Ha ha thanks! New strings always get my blood pumping! It helps the riffs work their way out of the guitar I think!
