That’s great I have to hope that they post some of their rehearsals on Utube, James has left me a few comments on my channel.
I did some selective listening to these selections and have to say great work, production, tones.
For some reason I am always more drawn to hear original things rather than covers, because I believe it tells a better story about the artist.
That is a kick ass beer drinking song , I know you have some more!!I am grateful for the kind reviews. Believe me, I take every critique to heart. I have NEVER liked my original work. I just feel outclassed by so many of the great songs and artists out there. But, I have come to the crossroads where I now must complete the originals for my solo album.
Here's a sneak peek at one of my originals...

Cheers and thanks for sharing it here.

I am greatly anxious to be able to hear your work brother. You are so very kind, my friend....Thank you.
1 down, 4 to go.
My approach is to mimic Joe B's first album "A New Day Yesterday," consisting of 13 songs, but only (5) originals.
By using my existing covers of "All Along The Watchtower," "Fantasy," "Perfect Strangers," "Ace Of Spades," and Rory Gallagher's "Road To Hell," I have 5 covers all dialed in and ready to roll.
I will add to that (5) originals (1 completed, 2 in current progress) for a 10 song debut.
Well, that's the official plan, anyways...

You just have to let go of any negative vibes and feelings and just do as you do.
Your original music is far better than you think.
Thanks
Your vocals are pretty close but you need that growl that Ronnie had, on the ending of some of the parts. Would continue with this. This is a sound byte of an unfinished version of Heaven and Hell that I recorded with Eric Wright on drums, Keli Wilde on bass and myself playing all the guitar tracks. It was originally recorded in 2018. In 2019, I trimmed the song down to around 2 minutes and 20 seconds and pitched it to the band (Fire Control) that I was in at the time. The band voted not to add the song to our list. This song is one that was lost when my PC crashed in February of 2020, so this is all that remains of the original recording...
Heaven & Hell 08-10-2019 - Sound Byte Vocals.mp3
******* UPDATE ********
My son ran a recovery program on my old hard drive and recovered a number of Audacity projects. One of those projects was my Heaven & Hell demo. The last half of the song's vocals are missing and will have to be sung over again, but the first half of the vocals are still there.
Honest opinion - Are my vocals strong and "right" enough on this soundbyte to put the extra effort into finishing this song???

I think you can ..Unfortunately, I think that's a RJD thing. I can't duplicate it... :-(

As many of you know, I had a double hard drive failure in February of 2020, and as a result, many Audacity projects were lost forever.
What happened?
Make/Model of hard drive(s)?

Not sure...It was an HP Model HPE-1701 that my son built for me. One morning, it gave me the "blue screen" and then we couldn't access the drive any longer. My Son replaced the drive, wisely talked me into adding external storage and got me back in business, but I lost a LOT of files.
Did your son try using a USB hard drive enclosure and hooking it up to another PC/laptop?
I still make a little beer/cigarette money fixing software/hard drive issues on people's laptop's and I've always been able to retrieve folders/files from "dead" hard drives using one.
