Marshall VS EVH

I love Marshalls, I like , Mesa, Dizzel,Engle.,Revv, then Orange :)
If i could ever find out more on them, Monomyth Amplification makes some hellacious modded Marshalls that are insanely aggressive but i cant find a thing on price or how to acquire one. But theres tons of non Marshalls I do love.

For Traditional amps, i do like the Diezel Herbert, the Engl Powerball II, the Peavey 6534+, Orange Thunderverb and Rockerverb MK3 Laney Ironheart, MatAmp GT120, Hughes and Kettner Triamp Mk3, Rivera Knucklehead Triamp , Mesa Boogie Mark 5 outside of Marshalls for hi gain.

Overall though: a Vox AC30, Fender Twin Reverb or Bassman, HiWatt DR103, Soldano SLO100 would be lovely as well

Mesa for Metallica, Marshall for Megadeth, Soldano for those 80 shred stuff:) I have no other interest.... Im narrow minded thats why lot of people hate me lol

oh i hear Orange was good for indie music and that put me off for good :) also i dont like how it looks :)

Orange is a strange one as its looks put off a lot of folks and it does have almost a hipster looking vibe lol MatAmp is exactly the same only Green!

But you might be surprised in their sound: they are quite the heavy stoner metal/doom amps and can pack massive amounts of gain. Sabbath used them for a period actually

Bands like Mastadon and Sleep use them a lot too. But a great example of how far they can go is Kirk Windstein (Crowbar)and Pepper Kennan( Corrosion of Conformity) ( both of DOWN). Really great sounding if dialed right

i know they are good amps but they are not for me :)

i want wall of Marshalls and it looks sexy as hell :)

Soldano SLO100 would be lovely as well
Glad somebody mentioned the Soldano SLO-100. I've been in awe of this amp since I saw Warren Haynes for the first time with the Allman Brothers in '91-ish. It wasn't till many years later that I found out that SLO-100 has massive heavy metal capabilities.

In 2006 I saw Warren Haynes again but this time it was with his Gov't Mule band. His Soldano is definitely dialed up with a bit more gain with Gov't Mule. This concert venue was a much more cozy situation and I could get right up to the stage and get in an excellent position to hear his Soldano in all its greatness. At this point, the SLO-100 became my dream amp. But at over $4K, and at a brutal 100 watts, it is only a dream!

You don't miss an opportunity, do you? :H5:
Lol Im seriously debating writing Godin and Orange and seeing if they'll give Norm an endorsement. Greatest statesman they both have!

And yeah Soldanos are awesome. They can definitely crack into the hi gain territory but i think they shine their best in the smooth, velvety crunch. Just a great straight forward bluesy rock sound

I think Norm is undercover Boss for those companies collecting intelligence like Government agency. I saw him dressed as a spy :)

Hey Ramo, I still have my very first Marshall too.

G30R CD, same as yours lol

I got mine when I was 16. I'm 38 now, and while I rarely ever use it, it still works and sounds pretty good too, for what it is. It's missing the logo cause I have a Line 6 4x12 in the jam room we use as part of the PA system, and I just couldn't stand looking at the Line 6 logo, so I took it off and replaced it with the Marshall logo from this little guy lol

Here, it's tucked into a (messy) corner of my RV that I tend to hang out in quite a bit.

Yeah, the bong is official Mastodon merch lol... the "Mastobong"
If Marshall ever makes a bong, I'll own it too :ROFLMAO:

My teacher helped me get tones. That multi effect sounded good man really good. But I lost it when this dushbag sold all my stuff from storage even my underwears....

After i bought my dsl, i said i dont need this stupid combo and i sold it for £30 i think... i wish i kept it :) I was like i have big guns who wants the small one :)

oh one more thing in my collage days (donkey years ago before dinosaurs) there was this hype about line 6 amps, one of the models i think it was spider had this option on gain to go insane :)
I used to say rest of the guys ,we have to play with this settings its most metal you can get :)
I had a Line 6 spider half stack once.
Blew it up within a matter of days lol
It didn't like 2 4x12s, just one...the head went in the trash, the cab now says Marshall on it lol

I really don't need mine either but I was a gift for Christmas that year I think, from my parents, so I guess it has some amount of sentimental value to me. I will plug into it sometimes if I really feel like I need to riff something out

There are some days, not often, i actually will plug into my little Squier Champ 15GR. It came with the Tele I got when I was 12 and it still works today. Not a bad amp really for what it is and actually sounds pretty good when its dialed in right. Its got dual cascading gains so it can actually grind out pretty good.

My first was a little 15w Crate, but I did get it with a Squire Strat...the Amp is long gone, before I even got the little Marshall..
But I still have the Strat!
