'My Wall' Thread

"Better Get Out". having a blast with the mesa's & my writing is now on Side B..just flowing out..whatever i feel basically...3 more songs are in my looper, drums done n 1 & other 2 ready for drums

This is how the MK3 w/EV & DC3 w/V30 layered ..no mix but faders..stepped n my Joyo chorus during some leads..spent time on capture..had fun singing...Drummer is recruiting bass players & wants me to sing more in this style..i am like what style? lol....gonna audition bass players in 2 weeks. Should we tell em i have an SVT & fridge for live use ? lol

Great tune there BFT , and I am sure he will find out soon enough
(SVT Fridge).
Love the change ups in this one.
Thanks

Darn, got out of sequence, this song was before Better Get Out,this thread actually keeps me in order for a reference. "Chasing Down", the F100 was real tight to play, The mesa branded v30's record nice.

Character decided on the ''side B..The Gray...No more chasing down..he is just going to go or it in life..no matter what is going on around him..doesn't mean..he has to pack his dreams in...drummer is in deep with me now & taking some of the responsibilities of the band..which is so nice..i just wanna play basically..

Its just getting started..its Recto time..lol

They brought a clarity in the attack it seems that opened the door for clear type heavy. Right at 5 year mark on guitar since the switch from bass,,,things are starting to come together .. dig learning drumming a lot..these songs all start there.. beating on the drums..kick & toms...they help balance life out & relieve frustration

The last 4 have got decent response from some postings here & there. Seems the heavier ones draw more of the audience we had built up. Drummer has auditions lined up for some potential players & we contacted my friend who does videos & prob do a few over the winter for something to do. Full blown practices soon. Things are moving..

Here We Go(It's America) was fun. Trip rec on n chan 1 - push. Wish would have had the Swamp Things . Character is in real time now for the writing. Noticed starting to get more precise & focusing

Thanks !! We are finding(56 & drummer 58) our core audience still wanna rock...in the places we play, we get good response. Kinda fired up again. been focusing on songs now that translate to live. We have been offered Camden NJ, Manhatten, Philly & Detroit shows on a tour my friend holds. Have to have all things lined up before we can commit.

Always an interesting journey. Drummer & I have worked some things out. Full commitment on His end but needs till after the election. Works for the state & the last 6 months have been rough for him cause of the Virus & the Election crap. We are going to meet just hang a few times & enjoy life, That is so cool, we are friends & sometimes the other stuff makes the music better.

Out of the blue someone responded to my last song on Soundcloud. He is only 15 minutes from me. We have communicated a lot. His strength is leads but not metal. Which is cool cause he wants to do a project of various genres. Interesting that this song caught his attention but he went through my stuff & found the fender amp songs & identified with that.

Really gave it some thought & that would allow more varied playing & getting the Mrs singing again..then the heavies can exist for the live band. Everybody i know can play then. What drew me.. said he never played a cover..instant bond..me either..i like that thinking process cause the normal progressions aren't embedded in the song writing.

Will get a chance to drum, bass & rhythm but have someone to react off of vs always making it up..hopefulness this project is more of a passive role in the creation process. Might ask my cuz to do the bass cause he is jazz influence...then the band can be all over the map. Update, just talked with Mrs about it.cause he just emailed about superficial song we did, asked me the chord progression.. maybe make a mellower band & she would sing..nice.

Latest 'Never Goin Back" getting heavier as i hit chan 2 n the recto.. Swampers really paired well with 5150's. Character is realizing..people always hold you to the 1 or so very bad things you have done in life versus all the good. Kinda hard when its 30 years later..huh... Next song 'By a Kiss" .drums are in reaper & Gibson Lp is in BF#BE tuning & recto on chan 3..its nasty but has a beat

"My Wall" has given 14 songs Side A ,the Darkness & 10 so far on Side B, the Gray. Maybe what it really did was draw out the real music from inside. That led to some people i know contacting me after 4 year hiatus.

Today, a band website, email & FB were set up. We have decided to take a few of the ones already done, mostly last batch & migrate them to the new band and get an Album done & then do a 2nd one as a band. Set July of next year for the first gig. Will build it up before then with some videos & get some airplay on a friends Radio/streaming thing he just launched in August.

Recto chan 3 on this one, basically last 3 songs where to learn the amp, did a song on each channel. very impressed how it takes all the guitars. Prob use the recto & 50 Cal live. All depends on what type guitar player comes aboard, 'Single Kiss" basically practicing on the amp & it happened pretty quick.

At the crossroads.. if i didn't do this thread 'My Wall" starting in August with Side A ,The Dankness & then Side B, The Gray I might of quit.. in the sense of just go join a band & do the role thing. But have so much music in me..the Wife admitted she couldn't do it no more.. slumped for a week. & realized...just play..play it all.....then put DSL on Ultra ..dropped to D..then..it all came back. Sometimes we must play what we play.. too much can ca get in your heads when we listen to others or trends....i just found out big time ..heavy music aint dead ..not even close,, the response back has been incredible...it brought the drummer back

took us 3 months to commit..soon a said new band,... it was the fuel to the fire...so here we go...the Mesa's led closer to the sound in my head.. We needed an opener...

last Fri..was at the kit...kick & toms...then went h hu huh here we go...u uu up...up we go... recorded the drum quick then went to the Recto & matched the crunch.... it made it on the middle of the song & the end..

came up with the band song..UP... guess its new band time..luckily have 12 basically ready for a full Album to practice behind

Great tune again brother, the heavy music scene will never die , it’s just not the most popular at any given moment.
But play it live and the masses will be in force:jammer::bang::beers:
