'My Wall' Thread

Touching up a bit & starting to not be afraid to sing. Pretty wild doing songs from start to finish. So much stuff for each part, getting it right all together is way dif & harder than just adding something, The gel & continuity means everything must play well together. learning so much as each song get more attention to tips i pick up on. Kinda why i leave them Reaper just as recorded..get that right..then learn how to mix it all. The story is getting very deep into a psychie of a life being really torn apart & how to cope

"Your Love", song 7 it looks like now. About the toxic part of relationships & even reflecting at a point..when they go bad..we kinda know the exact moment the lines are crossed permanently & ya can't go back. Have 'friends" done in Reaper ,cuple leads to place yet. Been really focusing on the levels, even before mixing. Don''t really mix em much yet..too much music to make & its flowing pretty freely . Busy with work..try to keep it all in order..prob why made a thread..done so far

i gotta get a handle on this list of whats done so far. had to add a song in that i didn't see coming

SIDE 1
3) So Sad-- The activating event
5) There--contemplating
6) 6Ft to Safety- in the checking out zone
7) Your Love - love kills
8) Familiar - the familiar drags you back every-time
9) Demise - the beginning of the end
10) Friends - yeah them kind..
11) Rescue Me - reaching out but from self noticing for the first time

SIDE 2
15) FREAKS- just feeling like an outcast
 
Well 'Bring Me back" is probably the turning point of the character..he finally thought of wanting life back..but it seems against the odds...

today did another Recording ..have to sing & leads tomorrow,,shooting for October Completion..have to figure out the interludes between the songs..kind of why there is some xtra passages as the songs start..maybe can work that into them, Did recognize..don't stop the flow..if the song hits..record it.. don't wait..go off the instinct,,it can always be polished later,,but that always seems to kill the emotion..3 weeks ago when this started ,,singing bothered me..now its something to do just like guitar bass or drums..

NO Monkey..this is the song that started the thought of this project..sorta wrote it in the spring in rough form..then as this story went on..it would fit in towards the end..maybe reflecting back how the battle was in life & how overcoming is such a victory

Also here is my 2 work papers as this organizes -- sure is some work but so fun..drummer is aboard now & first time in years put out some low key inquiries for 2nd guitar & bass

'Out of Control" song 9, Side A. Character is totally losing it. reckless abandon.. but..he still has 1 chance left..deep own inside,,but it will have to be real & and a miracle.

4 to go on this side..trying to focus & wrap this side up before too many on side B start happening,,this heavy run has invigorated me & more than likely put a band together cause of it. Recording isn't my forte, still learning tons each song. & they do sound pretty decent being played in PA at gig levels. Probably all i know really since day 1 years ago. Most comfortable taking the music & playing it live. The songs usually translated to fun songs to play live. Maybe that is the oomph behind it,,figuring out how to make songs to play live people can rock out to.
