That was on my list but I ended up getting a Dunlop fuzz. Regret that...

If you have the ability, why not. Opens up a whole world of options. Heaps of designs to choose from, germanium, silicon, or even IC, & it's reasonably cheap to DIY (plus we'd get to see a fuzz pedal build thread).

I have one of the first generation '69 Pedals, and really like it. It was my first Fulltone pedal, and the first to send me down the rabbit hole of boooteeek pedals.

It's the grey one on the right below the OctaFuzz. I couldn't find a picture of it by itself.

I have zero fuzz/over-drive/distortion pedals at the moment, but I do want one. I've been doing the yardsale/flea-market search for an old original one for a while now. Not real picky on which one or one's, just want it to be an old school old butt one - lol...

The best one I actually tried this far was a cheap Mooer, I sold it ridiculously cheap. Its only "fault" was that it picked up the local rock station

I like my fuzzes to clean up when I roll off guitar volume.

I got the MXR Super Badass Variac Fuzz and that's good enough for me. Plenty of parameters that allow me to dial in a good sound. Good with guitar and bass. Good with humbuckers too. Small footprint, what else could you want?

It's basically a hot-rodded Band of Gypsys fuzz face in a Phase 90 style enclosure.
