Robert--- thanks for the kind words--- and I am thrilled that this beastie will get to PERFORM as she would never have hidden away here in the doom room ---
The SG -- FEELS like an OLD friend -- thing is DEAD quiet--- till strummed -- makes GLORIOUS noises and feels like my first love -- a 70's era Gibson SG I scored in the 80's and drug around with me everywhere -- sadly it was lost to a car accident -- (lost its head--stock) and being a FOOL kid at the time I had no idea it COULD BE REPAIRED -----![]()
ugh
Thank you sir this thing will be much loved .

Soon, your "Chibby" will be touring the biker clubs and Casinos...
And Mojave Wasteland Weekend 2019 if there is a cancellation...
Well she has a great voice--- and since Im no pro seemed a shame to keep her light under a bushel ----- oh the parties she will see and the life she will have !!!Soon, your "Chibby" will be touring the biker clubs and Casinos...

That thing looks fantastic.
From a durability standpoint, a scarf joint would be a good thing.
However, as Gibson never used it, a scarf joint on this would be a dead give-away.
While I normally take a very dim view of fakes, this, to me, is one benefit of a fake. If the guitar may be subject to harsh environments, theft, or other damage, you can still have the visual appeal of the real thing, while risking much less money doing it, especially if the fake is done well.

Damn man like your workin on the Space Shuttle.
