I had to read your statement a few times, Sysco. You mean other cheap guitars didn't stack up to a GS Mini and therefore you DID buy or already owned a GS mini and it is acceptable or better and a nice guitar? Am I accurate?

I bought the GS Mini after I tried a few others. My self imposed budget was $500 and the guitar had to come with a case. I was open to anything under that budget.

And maybe I'm talking out of my buttocks, but to find a parlor sized acoustic guitar that is of better build quality and noticeably better tone response, I would have to look at 3x the price! But then I would be too over protective with it and not use it as casually as I intended to.

The GS Mini sounds HUGE. For me, I decided my acoustic is just starting to get the play it deserves (and needs to improve tonally), and it is not prohibitively large

On the Taylor GS Mini you have the option for electrics for $100 more. The GS Mini in Koa only comes with electrics, and it's around $200 more. When I bought mine, Minis with no electrics were $500. I haven't checked the prices lately.
