To Scream or Not To Scream:

Several Kats tell me the only thing the DSL40C needs to chug is to get whooped with a Tube Screamer.

I even found a very chuggy video of a kid hammering a DSL40C with a TS09 and getting good tone.

Thoughts???

Oh no! Red channel is the high gain channel. It just gets muddy when you drive it and I hate that effect.

In some cases....yes, it does.
The frequency response of the pedal alters the signal fed to the amp...losing some of the flub...

Dunno....don’t have one....never really wanted one...happy with my 18 watt TMB, set to crunch a bit, with a muff out front.
The muff I built is a bit thick though...the TS I built addresses that well enough...but so does a TC Spark(Mini).....I find out later....but the TS into the lightly crunchy 18 watter is pretty sweet too.

One that focuses, as desired, on the specific mid frequencies that need to overcome said flatulent behavior....yes.

I have a Vox Distortion Booster and the TS9 that Sysco fixed for me. Maybe I should mail them out to Robert to try. The worst could happen is he hates em and sends em back to me.

He'd owe me a ride in his Stang though.
