Looking great Ray. You could go concentric pots for 2 vol and 2 tone controls with this project :D

My ambitious mind is being tested. The nitro instructions state that it should not be applied at temps below 55 degrees Farenheight. That could take months!! I will not spray in my basement because boilers and flammable fumes do not mix. Woe is me!!

hope the current winter storm whats it called "Harper" ??? isnt too much a problem for you Ray

And all others up in that frozen place called------- "the Mainland" ---- or anything NOT Florida

I had a thought to bring this guitar to my unfinished office and give it a few coats. Then I realized that the flammable vapors would set off the fire system and I would probably be evicted, fined and/or arrested!!

What ya think about this:
Since you like tools and gadgets, why don't you invest in one of those moisture meters. I don't think they cost to much AFAIK. Then use the meter to determine the moisture content of the wood on your current project. Who knows? Maybe the wood could use some more "dry time"? Or maybe not. But in a nutshell, considering your environmental circumstances, maybe it's best to put OFF the spraying of the finish for a few months... :hmmm:

My basement clocks in at 25% humidity in the winter, so it is certainly in the right place. I fear you are correct and I have no choice but to wait. I put a thermometer in the garage. The moment it hits 55 degrees, I will be shaking a spray can!!

We are hearing about this WINTER STORM "HARPER" that is dumping a snow filled haze of death and destruction on the North----

Sorry I have a strict rule about NOT leaving Florida or the Gulf coast area .....Marylandia is TOO Far into the FROZEN TUNDRA

That looks like a great body! What happen with PRS. I must have missed it as I thought you were a PRS guy? I have been pretty busy with work laying guys off & me being the only guy now :(

Sadly, it is too cold here to spray nitro. The can says not below temps of 55 dgrees. So, I am thinking, April maybe!! Anyway, due to the call for gold hardware, I have to make some mods. First up, putting gold covers on these zebra pickups.. This was fun, because I hate zebra pups!!

I am not a guitar builder so curios what the wax is for and does it affect tones?
