Bergen is great, and I would never want to move anywhere else permanently. But it just rains a whole lot. I know England isn't exactly known for its extremely dry climate, but it's better than here, anyway.
Ha! You should try southern California. You'll get some bird turds on you before you get rained on. Great food and beer, too. Make sure you bring lots of money, though...

At the earliest, sometime in January...

I did notice this, available now, on the Andertons site for the same price (I could ask them to just give me this instead, I've already paid):

2018 SG Classic in Pelham Blue. I don't have a Les Paul...

Here is my one Blue guitar.

Here is my one Blue guitar.

Very nice indeed - blue is a nice colour for a guitar - matches the maple neck on the precision bass really well (that reminds me, I want an SG bass...).

Finally, after worrying that these specials might not really exist, they appeared on the Gibson site today:

(Will you look at those lovely cream switch tips and binding; yes, please, missus...)

As I always said with those 2018 SG/LP juniors, they'll all be snapped up without a price drop and folks will regret not getting one... This is a very similar situation, as close to a Custom Shop 61 special as you're gonna get; they'll get snapped up quickly, be superb and hold their price well, imho.

The Burgundy does look sexy too, but a Pelham Blue/White/Yellow SG special/classic has always been a really desirable guitar for me.

I really don't know why anybody with the cash wouldn't buy one of these; Reverb, Ebay, Online shops have none of these available. I hope they aren't popular, I hope that nobody but me buys one in Pelham Blue, and I hope Gibson only make one 2019 PB special...

It seems like the holy trinity of SG colours are red, white & black. Pelham blue is like the dark-horse colour for Gibson SG's. I dig them all.

;>)/
To me the holy trinity of colors would probably be cherry red, tv yellow and faded pelham blue (the greenish tinge the old pelham blue nitro used to take on with age).

Latest update: the guitar won't be arriving before Jan 20 at the earliest, maybe later still.

I've been asked if I want a refund. The money is spent, I don't need the money or the guitar, so should I get a refund or just wait the 2, 3 4... Months until it arrives?

I would definitely wait for it! If you don't need the money anyway.

The way I look at it, you weren't expecting to see the guitar for 3 to 6 months anyway so a 20th Jan delivery date really shouldn't matter. You'd be kicking yourself later if you did get a refund. Cheers

wise words Ivan -- very wise words --
Im with Ivan on this one--- it will ALWAYS BE the ONE that GOT AWAY ---

Good things come to those who wait------ HEY ask RVA -- he waited -- what ...over a YEAR Ray?? for the SG JR to be pried from my clutches-----

Was it worth it Ray?????

further to the point -- Ive been lusting for a Gibson LEs Paul 1970/71 (first edition) Recording GUitar for at LEAST 20 years------
I got one now and I love it-- and am thrilled with THIS particular one and yes it was WORTH the wait----
