RANDY RHOADS... 36 Years Ago!

He was a true original. And by all reports a very sweet person as well. While I have never been a great fan, Randy Rhoads is a guitarist that deserves respect no matter what type of music you are into. (Don't get me wrong, I think his playing was killer and the stuff he did with Ozzy was really cool.) He inspired (and continue to inspire) thousands of pickers. A few years ago, when I was still a teacher, I subbed for a music teacher who was ill a couple of lessons. One of the lessons was band practice, and this 13 year old kid came in with a Jackson guitar (one of those V things). He played with a drummer and a bassist. They didn't have a vocalist, but absolutely killed it when they started playing "Crazy Train". He proved to me once and for all that rock is not dead right there and then.
