For the Strat Haters...Think These Pickups Might Sway you???

Strats are what they are.

It's useless trying to make them feel/sound like something else. Better choose a different guitar after all.

Me, I've been playing strats for a good handful of years and meanwhile I tried/played/owned Gibsons and other guitars. Now I own two Fenders and a Rickenbacker.

The strat remains my favorite and main guitar.

Now this is good Stratocaster tone....

Elliot Mechanic Mechanicland necks are better than any Fender neck ever made huge U shape like a early 1954 Fender neck but bigger I own a 1960 Stratocaster version I need to do a fret job on it. This is all I could find on them now. 1952 Fender Tele Elliot Mechanic Mechanicland FAT U Shape Maple Neck

DR. ELLIOT MECHANIC | Biography

I hadn't heard Anderson's name since 2003. I was offered his spot in 2003 but turned it down. IIRC, they gave it to Keith Gattis.

Btw among modern American made guitars I must say I’m yet to see a better crafted/finished instrument that a Fender. My Rickenbacker comes close, but not as nice. The Gibsons I tried were horrible pieces of shite. Bad fretwork, bad nuts... Rough tools, compared to other geetars...

I never liked Gibsons. Playing anything but heavy rock on them always felt like trying to teach ballet to an orangutan.

Best thing I did this year was to get rid of my SG and get the Ric

I think you’d probably like my SG Original 2 for fit and finish, even if not for feel. Definitely in a different camp than the Fadeds and some others. It’s decidely nicer than my ‘74 SG. I’m not bashing lower-priced guitars or Norlin guitars. I have some examples of each and enjoy them. But those extra dollars aren’t all just marketing.
