I do use them when a project for hire requires them, but it's a very nails on a chalkboard thing for me sonically speaking.

The ONLY decent sounding Stratocaster is Axel Rudi Pell.
I need to put y'all in check here!Another one trying to dethrone me...
Come on over. I have a 12 track board!I guess I should stop procrastinating and figure out
what kind of interface I need to record to my computer
so I can participate and earn the sympathy I deserve
for my extremely non dazzling guitar skills.
Crispy single coil tones!! Nice!I am a rookie and the least skilled player on the forum...but I'll offer these up from my Berklee assignments.
Humiston Assignmet 6.1f
Humiston Assignmet 7.1c
The kind of heavy that makes you happy! Nice!
Rocking!! I am sure this would be crisp with 2 proper tracks
Tight as a drum, as usual Robert!Well, up until this past Saturday, I haven't had a real 'signature tone' other than some of the many recordings that I have posted on Sound Cloud. However, the recent addition of the TS-9, CE-5 and the incredible 12AU7/ECC83S/ECC83MG/5751 tube combination in my DSL40C has totally transformed that amp into a terrorizing beast.
Hopefully, we can record some sound clips of the setup this coming Saturday. I don't know how we can keep any type of recording device from bursting into flames trying to capture that tone.
Until then, I will leave you with this clip of a studio project we recorded 6 months ago. I was very happy with the tone we got on this. The song is a cover of Ghost's 'Rats!' and it is a full studio production, complete with control board volume drops, second guitar parts and console effects added.
This was recorded on my bone-stock 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute through my Blackstar ID-Core 100 Watt 2X10" Combo, direct out into the console. The amp was set with gain at around 3/4 and all EQ's at 12 Noon. The engineer added affects and EQ as he saw fit.

Now you're just talking nonsense...you getting to close to the SoCal tokers?
