Damm brotherI was a spoiled young one for sure, I was the only son out of 5 sisters, so I got alot...
I did not know what I had until fellow musical friends told me what it was..
I have in my garage a super twin reverb , needs to be looked at .When i started my first band i got me a Fender Super Reverb 1977 , wish i still had it.
So true broI will NEVER rid of that Plexi....Especially since I do not have my Dad with us anymore!
Nothing like that PLEXI sound![]()
Ahhh man hell of a way to goMy first was a Peavey Studio Pro 40.
I had it until my youngest son blew it up, about 20 years ago.
You see, he was just a few years old and I made the mistake of leaving my guitar on a stand right next to the amp and plugged into it. My son turned it on and ran all the knobs to 10.
The runaway feedback went into a massive howl. Before I could get downstairs to the amp, the power transistors blew out.
Totally my fault.
Truly is and a howling bit of racket!!!What a mess!
I bet you almost broke your neck trying to get down those stairs....OMG what a nightmare![]()
It just was on fire not sure what caused it. Worked all Summer and got a 100 watt Ampeg 2 x 12" combo. How did it burn ?
I remember those days , Marshall’s where only in magazines. It just was on fire not sure what caused it. Worked all Summer and got a 100 watt Ampeg 2 x 12" combo.
Back in 1972 no Marshall's in the music stores.
The first one I seen and heard in person and up close was a band 3 houses down the street from my buddy Teds house, about 1977, then and there I knew I had to have one!The first Marshall I saw for sale was in LA. a purple 1966 Superlead JTM45-100 $2800.00 with flight cases full stack.
That was big money in 1977. Got in a big fight with my wife on that one.
It fires up but no sound.Mitch...does your twin still work?
That is a time machine for sure....Those are some nice amps
