The infrastructure can't keep up in Florida in a lot of area's. Florida has and is simply growing too fast. Traffic is crazy at times for sure. As much as I like Florida I wouldn't mind moving somewhere out west'ish to smaller, slower, area. Somewhere I haven't lived before...

Why not? Follow your dreams. My wife used to live in HI, and it's not as bad as you think provided you don't want to be right in Honolulu/Waikiki. Look into it - you only live once man.
Two years ago we split a two week vacation between the Big Island and Kauai. 40th anniversary present to each other. Last summer we went back to Kauai for a week. Think if we could pull it off. That’d be the island.

Real Estate market is Hot !! Houses are selling fast..we wanted down there by now but not happening yet.

I would get wheels unless that thing weighs 2000 lbs, or you won't be getting 5 feet of snow. It will try to drive up over the top.

Cad, the new place has a steep driveway. The previous owner had a tracked one too and swore by it. I won't be getting feet deep snow. Plus it just went on sale this week with $200 off. Gonna order one from HD next week using a 10% off Lowes coupon.

I cant believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It started snowing in the morning they said we could get up to 8 inches of snow by Tuesday morning, well we had that by 10pm last night so shovelled the driveway in afternoon with six inches went out at 10pm shovelled another six. Woke up this morning and buried with another 7 with drifts of 3 feet in some areas. And we have another warning of storm starting this morning going into evening calling for another 8 inches...…...Well I spent another 45 minutes this morning digging out around the Suv to the back, now I will let the contractors do the rest . Man I have had a workout already this morning!! We got more snow yesterd and through the night than what we have had in the last 6 years combined unbelievable!!!!!! This is the kind of snow they get in the Northern part of the province not here in the Southern...….. Here's a couple of pics I took. Got all the snow off the SUV before I even got started. I could of let the contractors do it, but I don't like them around the vehicle lots of those guys are careless have seen them hit vehicles with shovels and I once seen a guy scrape my next door neighbours car, so I like to do my steps and vehicle before they get here.View attachment 34367View attachment 34368View attachment 34369

They are building subdivisions and condo/apartment complexes faster than you can count---- I personally know of many as I bid projects to the developers and contractors--Lakeland alone has over 50,000 units coming online FIRST PART OF 2020 that doesnt count small 50/60 home developments that spring up out in the county or retirement complexes---or "parks" ----
the number of things being added is beyond imagine ----I literally could bid on jobs 24/7/365 and would need 5 more crews if I won 2% of them -- Our owner has limited me to a strict radius area-- because I get calls --- for work--- from out of state contractors--- who have a contract in hand have broken ground but cant get the job FINISHED because they cant get this or that thing done----but they are in Gainesville---or a Project in Cocoa BEach--- or Miami---they offer DOUBLE our regular bid---but its not "worth" the travel and risk/time --- to not service OUR locals and regulars that keep us going when there ISNT a BOOM --

Now---I gotta get back to my bids blueprints and drawings----
