My immediate reaction to this statement is just "no" but thinking about it more, this is an impossible comparison: It's like saying Hendrix sucked because he couldn't do what Andres Segovia could, or vice-versa. No, I don't think Ringo could pull off straight jazz like Morello. But there is absolutely nothing in Morello's repertoir that makes me think he could pull of what Ringo does either. When you start making comparisons across disciplines it gets too abstract and the comparison loses meaning. It's the same as me stating something along the lines of "David Gilmour is a nothing burger because he can't play metal like Zakk Wylde."
