Why Cheap Out on Straplocks:

Brad (Well Hung Straps) makes an excellent reproduction of my favorite strap locks ever made. I have originals on several guitars. I bought several from him that will eventually be put on others.

Yes they are excellent! And I will be buying more Well-Hung strap locks for sure.

I have those on my ‘74 SG. I’ve had them on the guitar since 1986.

Hands down, they are the best strap locks for an SG. They don't stick out an inch from the body the way the Dunlop and Schaller locks do.

Poppycock. Never seen it once. That’s a maintenance issue, not from the washer. And I move around A LOT when I play. Hell, they don’t even unscrew the giant modern Gibson strap buttons even with a thick leather strap.

Agreed…my only caveat…I am in the habit of putting a drop of titebond on the threads of my strap pin screws when I first set up my guitars. Been doing that since I was a teenager…from the first time I had one back out on me.

I grind the head of my hardware store screws down to fit inside Dunlop strap locks to install on my Gibson guitars.

I install Schallers on my Fender guitars, And have used Grolsch Washers on my Acoustic and ES 135 which I play seated. I have not done anything for my PRS or Jackson V yet since it is still in pieces.
