Where do you want to be in winter?

Yes, these girls will not be pounding the mogul fields - they are there for the social side, and will probably not ski anything harder than an interesting red (about equivalent to something around US black or black diamond), so they aren't in danger of falling over.

I'll reply to your mail a little later

Great, thanks Don.

Now you know why I said Smitty needs to see a psychiatrist. He ... probably thinks motorcycle riding in the snow might be a walk in the park too.

Actually, the absence of motorcycles is another reason I like winter! I don't mind the Harley guys. They're fine. It's the crotch rocket guys who annoy me.

Around here the crotch rocket riders are reckless, dangerous, and obnoxious. I have no patience for them speeding and doing wheelies in residential neighborhoods...where there are elderly people and children...not to mention the grating, obnoxious noise. I'd prefer snow on the ground year-round to that.

This I can agree with.

I agree I hate "squids" --- and loud pipes--- they dont save lives --- they are just dickish. ---- but I do like being able to ride my bike year round last time i "winterized" a bike was 1986

High in the Alps, girls in bikinis skiing or just sunbathing are a pretty normal sight. Sunburn can be a real problem though because the air is so thin, and the effect is doubled up by reflections off the snow. When I go skiing I usually find that by midday I'm down to a tee shirt for my top half. And even that is hot.

I can remember going skiing in Switzerland. We were in Zermatt, at a ski resort called Klein Matterhorn.
We were sitting outside at the cafe, drinking coffee in t-shirts. It was actually very warm, and we did get slight sunburn on our arms.

I have snow skied in jeans and a t-shirt -- Boston Mills Resort NE Ohio.....played hockey on a "frozen" lake with about 3" of water on top----- in March in Ohio -- in swim trunks/......snow mobiled in subzero temps across frozen rivers .........I am no stranger to the cold athletics and adventures.........Honda 125cc three wheeler in the snow --- WAY FUN---
Just prefer the warm ;)

I guess I might as well stay right here in Bergen. We usually have about one month of nice weather a year, normally some time in May/June. The rest of the year is fall, really. When I was a kid (in Kristiansand, down south) we used to have nice and snowy winters. But with the changes in climate we are seeing, we hardly get any snowfall anymore. In Bergen we really have to look at the calendar to see which season we have...
