Lotsa nice ones to watch & listen to, owls, hawks, deer, possums, racoons, foxes, armadillos, millions of frogs, turtles, bobcats...
Then there's the sportin' ones, hogs & gators...
And the downright nasty ones, kind of an unwritten shoot on sight thing, coyotes and hogs again.

Eldorado is a little more than a hundred miles south of us. I shoulda said that I'm in the southern part of central Illinois. Everyone around here calls it southern Illinois though. May be the inbreeding...

But anyway. For the first nearly 50 years on this rock, I lived in a little rural community in western Illinois. Farm country. For those of you from Illinois/Iowa/ Wisconsin you probably know the area as the Quad Cities. For the rest of you..... Rock Island, Moline Illinois and Davenport Iowa were about 40 miles north of us. 2002 we moved to the NE corner of the state following jobs.

How far are you from Joliet? I have an uncle and some cousins living in Channahon, which is between Joliet and Morris.

I lived in Keokuk, Iowa for the better part of the 80s. Brutal winters!

I added this member's map feature in my last software upgrade. I could have set it to show your location based on the IP address you posted from. However I opted to allow those that wished to remain anonymous, stay anonymous. Therefore vague locations such as Ambassador of the Swamp will not be able to correctly locate you on the map.
