Where do y'all live?

60-65 mile to Joliet from where we live. Only about 10 minutes to cross the Wisconsin border. Can actually be to Milwaukee faster than we can get to Chicago.

That’s the way it was in Rockford.

We were really close to Wisconsin. I rarely ever went to Chi-Town.

You were almost as likely to see bumper stickers for the Green Bay Packers as you were to see Chicago Bears.

You can't escape the cheese heads. They are all over here in the Minneapolis area as well. I was actually spawned in a little town called Manchester, IA right on U.S. 20 before I made the trek north after college.

It was funny when we first moved to the NE corner of the state from Western Illinois. We lived about 15 miles from the Mississippi and now live about the same from Lake Michigan..... but a solid 1 1/2 from down town Chicago. First year or so we go back to our old home town and people would ask how we like Chicago. Our answer was, don’t know. Haven’t been there yet. Of course they go..... with a puzzled look.... thought you lived there. Uhm, no..... we’re closer to Milwaukee than we are to Chicago. Not sure they ever did get it.

I'll be in your neck of the woods for work this week, in Arlington Heights.
