A long drive in the desert to the crossroads...

Found some old homesteads. This one, I was afraid to go into...I had visions of falling through the floor and breaking my other leg. So I stayed out. I did go in the basement for a bit though.

Random pic of Douglas Creek, I used to come here a lot. It's a really beautiful place but I was alone and I can't really do much hiking yet until I rebuild strength in my knee. I can walk 5 miles on flat ground, I know that for a fact cause I've done it. But hiking up and down hills on unstable terrain is still very difficult, so I grabbed a pic and left.

It's been relatively unchanged since. One of the few places left that are far enough out of the way that it remains mostly unmolested and pristine. However, there was a huge sinkhole right in the path to it (from the south) and now you need a 4x4 to access (unless you're up for a hike)

Otherwise it's pretty much exactly as you'd remember it.
