Where are you?

A long drive in the desert to the crossroads...

Found some old homesteads. This one, I was afraid to go into...I had visions of falling through the floor and breaking my other leg. So I stayed out. I did go in the basement for a bit though.

Random pic of Douglas Creek, I used to come here a lot. It's a really beautiful place but I was alone and I can't really do much hiking yet until I rebuild strength in my knee. I can walk 5 miles on flat ground, I know that for a fact cause I've done it. But hiking up and down hills on unstable terrain is still very difficult, so I grabbed a pic and left.

Yeah, there's a nearby resort on the Columbia that claims over 300 days of sunshine annually....personally I think that's a bit of a stretch....but, we do have sun most of the year out here. As is the desert, it's extremes at both ends. Hot dry summers, cold hard winters. Lots of times the coldest winter days are the ones with the clearest skies. No greenhouse effect to keep the "heat" in lol
