I have 2 amps that are my favorite, i use these at my spring and summer place. I have had my Blackstar Fly 3 for years now, hard to believe 3 watts of sweetness can come from this 3' speaker in a little package. Its used daily there.

The Vox Rhythm 5 and Blackstar Debut15E , will be replaced by my newly found Blackstar 10v ID Core, this amp is powerful, i will no longer have to use pedals as it is a modelling Stereo amp, has many features, great tones, and will be able to do some gigs at the park with it.

Both these Blackstar amps fit the bill for what i need.

Practice amp? Aren't all amps "practice" amps? :hmmm:
To be fair, the JVM410 and 4x12, although easy to tame volume, is not my go to and is behind a bunch of smaller amps. I wouldn't call it my practice amp.
In terms of home use, I generally practice by working on songs unamplified.
Practice with band? Small easy to carry.
JMD501, Mesa Mk V 35 and Katana.

I was kidding in my post earlier, hope you all got that. I know what the OP meant, but it just so happens that I attenuate my amps down to TV volume most of the time so whatever I'm playing fits the qualifications as far as I'm concerned. I wish I could find a small low watt grab and go "practice amp" that sounds good, but so far I haven't found it.

I try to keep it under 115dB @~3meters. That’s “practice”.

Out in the shed I usually play on the East or the Budda. But when I'm going to be in and out for short periods of time when I will turning things on and off multiple times a day or every few hours I will use the Blues Cube. In the house I will use the Ori 20c unless I need to be quiet then I use the Katana go.

It all depends on my mood and what I'm doing. Usually, I will play my DST Engineering U84-TNT as the main practice amp. It's switchable between 2 and 8 watts, and sounds monstrous with a 2x12 speaker.

Because I built it as a practice amp, I will also use my homemade Tweed Princeton. It's also a fun amp, but not as nice as the DST.

But then, I do really love the sound of the Trainwreck Express clone. It sounds great with the Trainwreck Airbrake attenuator. I use that more than anything lately.

And for when I really don't give a poop... The '73 Marshall 1987 Super Lead with two 4x12s or my homemade JTM45 with the 8x10.

I have a 5w and a 20w. Closest neighbor is a couple hundred feet away… at least. With a 100 feet of timber in the mix. So. I can crank it and pretty sure no neighbor is gonna hear.

Yea ,but your hard of hearing from all those years of loud music, I'm not sure, you better ask them.:ROFLMAO: those 5w and 10watt amps have more loudness than you think.:D

If I've lost any hearing its come from working in a tractor shop around loud running diesel engines.... not music. And for the record.... while I do have pretty much constant ringing in my ears, last time I had my hearing tested, it was excellent. So there ,,,,, my elderly friend. :pound-hand:
