What's your favorite (<$150) reverb pedal?

I need a reverb pedal and possibly a chorus to use in my Origin 20 loop. I've never used a loop, but I think it's time I ventured into new territory. I'm playing edge of break up with a Tele and I need something to fill out the sound. I already have a delay and a couple of eq pedals, but I think what I really need is a reverb and a chorus.

Whatcha got?

I started a thread on another forum so Fitz, you don't have to repeat yourself from over there unless you just want to, I just thought I'd get some opinions over here, too. :victoire:

A used Fender Marine Layer pedal. Gorgeous reverb, with way more control than you’d expect in a pedal. You can even find the Dual Marine Layer for $150. Seriously slept on.

This looks cool, thanks. I'm seeing a few for around $130 on Reverb. :yesway: What's the difference between the big one and the little one?

I just realized I had a typo in my OP that I have now edited to fix. To clarify, I don't need a delay, I need a reverb. I have a delay that I like more than any others I've tried, but I'm just not a delay guy.

The big one is like having two units that you can switch between orvstack. It also has a Sustain button, that you can hold down to temporarily extend the length of decay.

New suggestions... :yesway:

TC H.o.F. 2 reverb & T-Rex Tone Bug chorus / flanger.
Might be my favorite reverb & chorus pedals in the arsonal.
Reverb options on the TC are fantastic.
I don't use the flanger function on the Tone Bug often, but the chorus is awesome.
Can be easily had used and fit your budget.
I can also say that they work well with the Origin 20 (& MXR 10-band).

I like the Eventide MicroPitch delay sounds like the expensive Eventide H-3000 Harmonizer delay

MicroPitch Delay
Sounds like this

Even though you had a typo that substituted “delay” for “chorus” originally, @67plexi replied with what has become my favorite chorus pedal. I rarely even use the delay function on the MicroPitch, but the chorus is fantastic IMO, and it’s almost always on for me.
I’m not a big chorus and reverb user…unless you count univibe and the Boonar Echorec…but I’ve learned that I like the cleanish delay/pitch style of chorus. My first favorite of that style was provided by my old Yamaha MagicStomp…and it’s still a killer chorus patch IMO.

That said, the MicroPitch is over your stated budget…but it has a serious, game changing, palette of chorus tones on tap.

I’m gonna go back to watching intently.

I have a DOD chorus pedal on my board. I like it. I do not have a reverb. The amp I have has an onboard spring reverb and tremolo, which I seldom run above 2 or 3. Almost never run any of the tremolo…. Although my kid messes with that when he’s playing thru my amp.

When I’m playing thru the Boss GT1 I do use reverb. My favorite setting is “Room” rather that hall or Grand Canyon. I don’t get crazy with the settings, just try and keep it subtle.

For physical pedals I drank the Boss Kool-Aid years ago. Their CE-5 and CE-2W both sound nice to my ears. Both can be found used for under $150.
