Yea, I could never do Bud beer. When they say pee water I think Bud ...then Light only worse.
I don't drink actually, but when I did I loved the exotics. Skunky, thick, weird, you name it. Lol.
In 1980 when I was making pretty good money driving truck cross country, I would cash my check at the local liquor store. You had to spend some money there for this to work. And I would always buy a case of beer, Becks, Hieniken, Dosexies or something of that nature.
But as I grew older, I am more satisfied with Coors , PBR, Miller lite, and so on.
I still drink the Colorado kool aid.. (Coors light) and I am still still happy with it..

Damn right! For normal American beer, Coors Light is still great. But I am also just fine with Pabst, Strohs when I can find it, Hamm's, Narragansett which might be my favorite and even Old Milwaukee is decent. Not Milwaukee's Best ( The Beast) as I'm pretty sure that is liquidized rat turds lmao

Im a strangebird: I only like middle shelf to top shelf liquor ( though i never buy top shelf cause let's face it, im a chiseler lol) and will NOT drink the gasoline tasting bottom shelf.
But when it comes to wine or beer? Oh dear god, im just a slice above a Sterno drinking Wino . I prefer the low budget 20:1. There ARE limits, like I wont drink Milwaukee's Best, Hurricane or Busch. But Mickey's, Old Milwaukee, Strohs, Hamm's Pabst, Narragansett, Miller High Life? F$!# yeah let's party! Class to me is Coors Light if that's any gauge lol. I do like some imports like Newcastle Brown Ale, Guinness, Pacifico, Tecate, Negra Modelo to name a few.
Wine? There's hardly a bottom. Twist cap $3 Buck Chuck over any $30 and up cork

Mickey's is still one I enjoy from time to time in the Summer. Cheap and potent but actually tastes pretty smooth!Coors, yes. A longtime classic. The others are good too. The Mad Dog on the other hand.....oh how low I have sunk with that in my company. The recurring nightmares of being slumped over into a porcelain throne face-first, painting the insides a nice pallet of Orange Jubilee, Sour Apple Green, Banana Red and Bling Bling Blue Raspberry combined with the subtle tones of a Taco Bell Quesadilla Meal lmao

Honestly, some of the worst beer Ive ever tasted, is probably 90% of craft beer in my honest opinion lol I cannot stand a beer that is chunked to death with hops because it then immediately tastes like skunk piss and most crafts Ive drank go overkill on the hops.
Adding anything besides the 4 required ingredients of Water, Hops, Grains and Yeast is another thing i hate. In the grain section there is a lot to work with from anything such as malt, barley, rice, wheat etc and those are all fine, but when you begin to dump in exotic grains: I'm out. In addition: adding like fruit, flowers and herbs and so forth is just ridiculous to me. If you want a cocktail or a wine cooler, go get one but quit churching up your beers like this to make it drinkable because you simply don't like the taste of regular beer.
But, to be fair and point out a single beer I despise that DOES use the 4 basic ingredients? This abomination, which is allegedly now long gone thankfully as of the early 2010s. It literally smelled like old stale urine and though I've never drank actual piss, Im sure this wasnt far off lol

I used to buy Bud for one thing and only one thing. Marinades and beer batter. At the time, I had tried others and kept coming back to Bud. Since, I have found others that work.
As stupid kids….. besides the different beers already mentioned. And yes, Mad Dog….. the stupid kid booze of choice in rural western Illinois in the early 70s was Boones Farm. I mean come on….. 99 cents per bottle. How can a broke kid go wrong.

Lol true "normal American beer" honestly? Is probably old Schlitz Beer ( not the malt liquor version) or even Pabst. But, today you'll hear much different opinions and many say Sam Adams.....i would disagree but hey, do what ya want lol
In 1972…. Boones Farm was 99 cents. In 2022 inflation has taken it all the way to 4-5 bucks. Had I invested 1 buck back then rather than on a bottle of Boones Farm, my buck would be worth about $7 today. Stupid kids.

We used to always grab a couple of bottles of Boones farm, in case any females were going to drink with us lol
