What was your First Album ....

What was the first album you owned that made you get into music. Not first song, but actual Album you possessed.
And you cant say ABBA's Waterloo, everybody has that one.

For me it was Billy Squier: Don't Say No

This is a hard one so Im gonna use 3 examples, so feel free to use which one you think counts lol

First album I got period, was permanently stealing my dad's copy of Black Sabbath Paranoid, so I doubt that counts lol but its the one that made me sneak my older brother's guitar and try poorly to copy Iron Man.

First album I ever got myself was AC/DC Ballbreaker for Christmas when I was 12. Not a great album but not bad either. But I wore it out, especially Hard As A Rock.

First album I bought with my own money was Ozzy Osbourne Ozzmosis. Grossly underappreciated album and made me want to play heavier music, especially Thunder Underground.

It was watching Ac/Dc Live At Donnington on VHS that made me 1000% want to play the guitar though, but thats a story for another day

I was raised on country long before I ever got into rock music. I bought these 3 (cassette tapes) around the same time so I don't know which one was first. These are definitely the albums that first made me want to play guitar.

This one... it was a Christmas gift. I must have been all of 5 years old.
I remember that I hated the orchestrated instrumental versions of some of the songs.
Then a couple of years later, Dad gave me a Doors album and my life was forever changed.

My sister had KISS Alive and Destroyer, Alice, April Wine etc.
It quite possibly was KISS Rock n Roll Over. Or maybe Cheap Trick Budokan?
Triumph followed because of a tv ad for their RnR Machine tour. Never heard of them before that. Later VH 1. Etc.
