It's hard to say, because you have two schools of thought.

One group feels safer without weapons of any kind.

Another group feels safer with a means of self protection.

Federal Title 3 regulations already regulate ownership of certain items, such as fully automatic weapons and exotic devices and I think those are good regulations to have in place.

I like to be very non-confrontational. We are simply choosing to move where the laws are more consistent with our desires to be afforded the right of proactive self-protection.
 
The only thoughts I have left are, if we (in the US) don't learn from the failed portions of our experiment and adjust our approach appropriately we are doomed as a society. The Constitution is a living document that can and should be changed when and where appropriate. What we have does not work yet people have dug in their heels about even studying or discussing the root causes and looking for viable solutions. We have plenty of models around the World that defy the old tropes about "self protection" and "the criminals taking over" to learn from yet we choose to look away and die a little more as a people every day as a result.

Right. I am not opposed to firearms, just buying a semi automatic assault rifle with 100s of rounds of armour piercing ammo. In some cases with little background check and available everywhere. Seems really pointless. That is not self protection.

All "societies" are inherently doomed ... all before have grown flourished and died --been absorbed overcome forgotten -- this one is no different. the only DIFFERENCE is we have (thanks to technology and general comfort ) --- TIME to sit and prognostic and ponder and give opinions and point out how wrong it all is..............wont change it.....these things all too shall come to pass....

And we will unite as one! Tone-a-topia!!! Yes, yes!!! Think of the laws we could make! Your taxes are due, peasants! Pay up! Guitars, amps, pedals on the table or we take your 1st born!
