No significant contributions at all.:dood:
Not my fault.I don't know about talentless...but i couldn't listen through a complete measure...
Not my fault.

This is by no means comprehensive or definitive. Just music I have listened to myself withing the last 2 weeks by great rock bands/musicians that proves the premise of the video wrong. And obviously I am not including older bands like Dream Theater or Rush that continue(d) to create new music that was/is relevant.
Just because someone stops caring about music and closes their mind to new sounds doesn't mean great music isn't being made every single day, and tying greatness to blues is a ridiculous conceit (I for one am very glad that most of the music in this list has no tie to the blues). The guys in the OP video sound like my father when I was growing up, lamenting the passing of "real" music like Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller...it's no different, just a closed mind in an aging dude.
I haven't heard hardly any of these!!!
I haven’t heard them, either.
But, the name “Trampled by Turtles” is a really cool name!
So, @gball , what song would you recommend by TbT, as sort of a representative sampling?
haha, that's funny you zero'd on that one - I was copying and pasting quickly and grabbed that by accident. Not exactly rock music...I listen to a lot of Bluegrass along with the rock.
Check em out:
My tastes in music are certainly not confined in to rock!
Bluegrass and bluegrass-ish music works, too.
I’ll give it a listen as soon as I get a chance.
