Ok, a few details on the Minibird. It was a collab between me and a buddy, we wanted to make a cbg style Firebird guitar, the thought behind it is, the body is just a box, like a cbg. I made it a 5 string in homage to Keith Richards. I will give more details soon, it's not some big secret, I'm just lazy.

When I was the mandolin player in the Gobshytes (Spelling), I wanted to get an Epiphone Mandobird. Unfortunately, the person whose band it was refused to have any electric instruments on stage other than the bass. I thought it would have been damn good fun. Especially for the material we played.

I don't know how I missed this on the Gibson ABR1 bridge dug out my 1958 ABR1 today and looking at my Gibson custom shop Les Paul
the new made saddles are like a knife edge and not brass like the 1958 bridge heck even the nylon saddles on my 1964 Gibson SG Standard sustains better looking at my PRS 594 thick brass saddles and sustains like no other
I did find correct saddles but the shipping cost put me in shock.

Is that a crack in the tail piece? Can’t tell but in the center it looks like a crack forming. She’s a beauty though, will the PRS saddles fit in the Gibson bridge? Looks like marks from it being top-wound for a loooong time rather than a crack. Well spotted, though.

Yes that's Marks guitar I used it as an example of the ABR1 the 1958 ABR1 I have is gold off my Gibson Flying V
I met Mark in 1980 real nice man
Sad part is I need 2 gold bridges and three Nickel sets for just two sets of saddles was 47 euros shipping
I did order one ABR1 last night with correct saddles see how it works out.

Is there a pup in that guitar? I don’t really know why but I feel like it would sound awesome with a piezo pup in it. Very nice guitar, great craftsmanship and imagination, I tip my hat to you sir!Not sure how I messed that up (buzzed) any way...
