Thinking about it, the only thing I want at the moment is a guitar with a wang bar - it's really the only void I have that I want to fill with my guitars, and I am pretty happy with my amps and effects these days (although if I am honest the allure of a JCM-800 Studio has been in the back of my head for a few months). Question is: 1. do I go Les Paul with Bigsby but I really don't like Bigsby's so this is the least likely scenario, 2. Dig deep in my pockets and go Les Paul Axcess, or 3. go '61 SG with one of the two vibrato options? Leaning toward the SG since its the most economical, and I don't expect to want to use the wiggle-stick much so it won't be one of my primary players, but it seems that no guitars that are not Les Pauls hand around with me for very long so this may even be a bad move

If you go SG, don't get the sideways vibrola option. Go for the Lyre or short vibrola tailpiece. Better chances of them staying in tune.

I bought my '61 Les Paul Reissue mainly for looks. It does play and sound excellent if you don't use the vibrola. Prior to buying that I had only played Javamagic's original '61 Custom, and those tailpieces don't work. The improved reissue is better, but still not really functional.
