What are you GAS-ing for?

Thanks for the heads-up @SG John. Any particular year that you'd recommend?
I did once see a video of Ed King talking SG's, where he said he preferred the 64's, though I can't remember his reasons. Cheers

If I was on the hunt, ‘62 would preferred due to my age. Otherwise, ‘61- early ‘65 would be the ones I’d be looking for. Small pickguard, dog ear P-90, and wide fingerboard with thin neck profile.

I’m good with overall differences between groups of years, but can’t give a good year to year breakdown. I know I prefer the earlier necks and heels, and maybe a ‘64 neck would have been Ed’s favorite.

I'm still waiting on this...

Sigh...
Man that is a beautiful V .
Mine almost looks that good.

I have no idea, I'd love a 1987x or sv20h, the dream would be a Gibson es 335.
A more likely scenario would be to get a used Mustang or Jazz master next year, maybe aim for a Gretsch 6120 in 2 years, and an es 355 if I can finally afford it in about 12 years...
I think I can get closeish plexi tones on my SC20 so a few tube swaps and a 2x12 might get me close enough for that to be a non starter ( currently using a 4x10)

This is better choice, I approve this. You dknt want that pick guitar trussssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssst in me.

I like your way of thinking. I would prefer the two tone sunburst, but if the wife says go out and buy an expensive custom color Strat... You do what she says. Then buy the other one later. Got to get the Strat before she changes her mind.
