What are you GAS-ing for?

Uh Don, what would this do? I'm not really acquainted with fancy stuff like that.
Inserting a substitute preamp in to a serial effect return would bypass the preamp of said tube amp, leaving only the power amp in play. Preamps come in many flavors…the one I posted a pic of is a tube preamp with a really cool compressor on board(or not…if you choose). That preamp is great for lots of stuff…bass is an option, and a damned fine one. You would be bypassing all of the guitar preamp on the amp using this method-gain, eq etc.

Not a cast off, my friend!

I really liked that guitar. It meant a lot to me and I was very pleased to see it go to you.

Smitty, I meant it not literally nor in any negative light about the casting off. I know you will be able to shed even greater light on just what this Washburn HB 30 is capable of and why I said how I do jones to play it every day.

Also, in regards to it meaning a lot to you, it is always yours just for the asking. Of course if you ever would like to just borrow it at any time, I am fairly sure you'd even like the upgraded Epiphone Dot style case for it to ride around in. I already had it reserved for my next 335 type guitar, and yours just happened to fit perfectly.

@smitty_p,

In fact, I know we have some seriously talented and experienced players and tinkerers on here.
Unless someone really had some major cork sniffing genes in their axe man DNA, I would put this HB30 up against just about any guitar out there in the realm of the sound quality, playability, and construction of guitars costing $1000-$5000+ and dare anyone to show us much in the way of deficiencies in it as it sits right now.
