What Are You Doing Right Now?

Trying to translate a song into German for a project my old bass player wants me to help out with. There's a reason why Klaus Meine sang all the songs in English. Lyrically, the words fall together easier. You also don't need as many words for the same sentence. Not having fun.

Just finished giving my next door neighbors pawn shop guitar new strings, oil fret board, set intonation, adjust neck relief ect.Just a super strat over seas guitar but it plays pretty good.Hes happy. He gave me a new clip on tuner for my troubles. I recognize that guitar leaning against the couch.

Chillin' to my new stereo (new speakers) with some Priest with my cat by my side.

Thanks for voting last week. I somehow went with the gloss white at the last moment.

Also got a new 2U rack to mount the VU unit.

Figured I’d try out the Phaez, and the 18watt, through more than 1x12 each…so…I’m going with 14x12s tonight.
The amp heads are still beside my recliner. I found a couple of long speaker cables that are doing the job.

So…. The 18 watt is pushing the full stack…the Kustom, loaded with MojoTone BV30Hs, and stock Marshall 1960B.
The 22 watt Phaez is pushing the stock Mesa Recto cab(V30s), and the WGS Reaper and Reaper 55hZ loaded Lopo 2x12.
This rig sounds pretty cool, but shakes/vibrates/blurs my home theater screen. ;)
Not bad for an armchair rig(IMO), but makes it difficult to track the puck in the hockey game while I’m playing.

Just got in from playing with strangers for the first time in a couple/few years. Much more fun than last time. We just improvised the whole time. I played guitar, know the bassist, but the singer and drummer….I had never even spoken with before(the bassist set the whole thing up). Local CL advert. Turns out the drummer is a neighbor…lives a few doors down the street from me…for like 10 years. Small world.

My wife and I were learning some new songs when I ran out of breath and had to take a break. I'm sitting here listening to her play Leonard Cohen's Ain't No Cure For Love. It is a very pretty song in the key of F. He uses a lot of borrowed chords. In the middle of the verses there's a progression that goes F A7 Dm Bb. It is haunting.
