I thought it might be fun to see what's up outside of our normal guitar lives.

This morning I talked my old dad into glassing with me. I have a Coues deer tag coming up this Halloween. (Native to Mexico, AZ, And I think NM only.) They are hard little bastards to locate, spot and, especially "let the air out of".... We call them the grey ghosts.

We spotted a color phased chocolate bear and watched him for about 35 minutes. First time watching a bear like that for my old man, he was pretty excited !

Cell phone pics through my spotter is pretty difficult ha ha.

Went out last night and hiked about an hour into one of my secret honey holes. Spotted some elk about 2 miles off.

That's awesome man, glad you got to get out with the pops! Hope you bag you one.

As for me right now? Well, watching Are You Afraid of the Dark with the kiddos since it's raining. But I'm also going back and forth with a property owner on VRBO: found a beach house with a private walkway in Atlantic Beach, NC that was listed for a measly $314.07 per week next Fourth of July. So, of course I jumped all over that one like Augustus Gloop diving into the Wonka Chocolate River. Buttttttttttttttttt it was a "misprint" and they pulled my booking, saying its actually $6487 a week. Needless to say, it's been contentious lol

Awesome, bud. Did you try to pet one or get between them and their young? Kidding as you'd probably suspect.

I keep seeing one in a lounge chair behind you with a case of beer watching you guys as you sort our your viewings.

You guys should muscle one of these out there so you can see what they are thinking ...

Hope you had fun. (y)

Thinking that scope may be a touch overkill for spying on your neighbor.

For me. Just finished up watching Sunday Morning on CBS.

Now just waiting on the crew to come fetch their noisy equipment we’ve had in our master bath and crawl space addressing a mold issue we discovered in the crawl space. Fortunately. Not a big problem, but obviously needed addressed. Turns out 20 years ago when the house was built the toilet was not properly installed and the wax seal for all practical purposes has been sealing nothing.

Stayed up late, double feature movie night last night, and slept in(because it was supposed to rain today)…now I’m having my coffee while watching Finding Bigfoot, and surfing the web…deciding on the new plans for the day…
edit: of course….it is NOT raining here right now.

Good thing to get that mold ahead ...or "in time" anyway. The house across the street from me sat for sale forever because it was sold due to a mold problem that had been corrected. You don't want to get to the point where the word is out for sure.

Working on getting my International Harvester Pickup bed mounted.
It has been a real journey.
The bed came off of 1970 and it's going on a 1975. Mounting is quite different. So I have been busy hacking the mounts off the old one to re-use them.
Nothing but money.
I bought a used 120v welder a year ago cheap but the argon/Co2 gauge failed last week.

I have a welding jacket but this one does not have leather. Needless to say I got a few nice burns. Not the first time. But first in a long time.

Headache, you might enjoy this documentary.

Like Don said, it's not raining here now. I hear thunder down to the south, and the clouds are getting black, so that may change soon. Yesterday I cleared out a ton of growth out of the backyard from what seems like several months of non-stop rain. Then I rearranged the cellar some to get started on the next set of benches and storage to finally get everything all cleaned up down here.

Today, I've been installing a dishwasher as part of the kitchen renovation. Now, I'm stuck with no good anchor points for the anti-tip brackets. Thought I would relax for a few minutes, have a beer, and think about how I'm going to tackle that problem. It's nice and cool down here in the cellar. It makes for a nice place to relax a bit, and cool off.
