No 100 degree heat here, but I sure understand the motivation thing. Been there done that my friend.

I like the tweed deluxe with the Dumble mods I have a pair of them

Playing the Orign20's today.
Trying a lower gain ECC81 in the PI per a discussion with some other Origin users.
Works well in one of them and not the other.
My suspicion is the different power tubes in the cathode bias.

Like I mentioned in the guitar thread, I'm trying to figure out all the nuances of the Unit 67 pedal. I had been using my homemade Tweed Princeton (in the small DST maple cabinet) and my DST U84-TNT with 2x12 to try all the different possibilities. Decided to plug in my Fawn '78 Marshall 2204 (50-watt). It really didn't need the compressor. I couldn't get it to sound any better than the amp already does. Next I'm going to try the JTM45s, Matamp, and Express.

Friday night we got together to jam. Used the Hiwatt input stage of my DST Engineering U34-CL. Played loud. Sounded so good on its own I rarely used any of my pedals. Sounded fine with just the Burny SG.

Since May I have 23 new songs I wrote that said our recordings have just gotten better have the drum sound bass vocal and guitar
it's been a learning curve the best improvement is the microphones used started with AKG condenser switched to Antelope Audio
modeling microphones the edge solo mic gives me 18 of the best high end studio mics and the Verge Antelope Audio small condenser for
guitar and snare drum is so crisp and clear the Audix mics are fine for drums next step run 6 guitar amps for the wall of sound

I played the DSL 100H on the left, with the top 4x12 (this photo is from several reconfigurations of his studio ago, but it's the same rig). It's great to have a place all set up where all I have to do is plug and play.
