Went Out Today and Came Home in This...

When I bought my BMW New it had a 4 year warranty. You buy a certified used BMW I know it comes with covers every thing warranty. You don't even pay for wiper blades or oil changes. I did drive only Mercedes Benz, now the BMW is clearly the best.

Congrats and best of luck with it!
When I loved cars, I wanted an 02 series BMW real bad.
nice little handling mod friendly racers back then.

Having owned a 64 Ferrari 330 GTC 2+2, a 68 Maserati Mexico, a 72 Lamborghini Jarama, a 68 Lamborghini Miura - and many lesser significant exotics - I don't miss any of them and I still go back to Ford Mustangs....

You had some great cars, I think! I am not well versed in wild European cars. I had a couple Mercedes SL class. I got on the visit Europe and pick up your Mercedes that was preordered. Then drive around Europe. They put on a boat and then prove it is yours at the port of New York! That was fun. The grey market cars craz was going on and they had to be smog tested. My Mercedes Benz 600 was done in Europe. None of the ones coming in had the choke and horsepower killer stuff on them. The officials here did not believe me even with the papers or just look at it. They had to call Mercedes in Germany to verify it. That was what the phone book of papers I had said. Nope a guy 4,500 mile away had to say so at our 3:00am their 9:00 am. The MB 600 was the most powerful car I ever drove. Air suspension and air every thing, I think even the cigarettes lighter was on air pop. The interior was by Pullman, they did the cars on the Orient Express and other fancy things like my car. The Pullman people bought it for their museum in Chicago I think. They knew who bought them and paid very close to what I bought it for new.

I'm an odd-duck. Never owned a car with an automatic. Prefer manuals...even my Gallardo was a six speed manual...I hate 'F1' gearboxes....

The people that take care of my BMW raced a 2002. It is still just sitting on a rack in the repair shop. The

I like stick manual transmissions but some cars just don't come like that or it is very difficult to find one. Years ago I bought a mini van so I could take my kid camping. I finally had to go with a auto transmission. The dealer called the other dealers and the factory and I had to go with the automatic.

I'm waiting for the next Mustang....

I am still walking in circles looking for my car, I forgot the color, make and I know it's 2018.
I'm not allowed to drive for a number of years now. My bosses pay for a car service now. I need to be there before any bus runs or a taxi can be found.

I used to be the same, but at some point I simply had to accept that modern auto/paddle shift gearboxes just crush a manual in every way: performance, mileage, safety, maintenance.

I used to make the argument that I wouldn't buy a slushbox because they are "slower" than manuals, but that is simply no longer the case (even the Mustang GT is significantly faster 0-60 with the 10-speed auto box). Now it's tough to make the argument for sticking with ancient technology, and even tougher to justify having to take your hand off the wheel to shift.

I've even found once I got used to them that the paddle shifters are just as "fun" as a manual if you want to play with them, but for all-out performance it's best to let the gearbox shift on its own.

Wow. I have almost the exact same story, except mine is almost completely different.

I’ve never had any of those cars, and I don’t miss them either!

And just like you, except for totally opposite, I never go back to a Mustang!

Pretty wild, huh.
