Having owned a 64 Ferrari 330 GTC 2+2, a 68 Maserati Mexico, a 72 Lamborghini Jarama, a 68 Lamborghini Miura - and many lesser significant exotics - I don't miss any of them and I still go back to Ford Mustangs....
You had some great cars, I think! I am not well versed in wild European cars. I had a couple Mercedes SL class. I got on the visit Europe and pick up your Mercedes that was preordered. Then drive around Europe. They put on a boat and then prove it is yours at the port of New York! That was fun. The grey market cars craz was going on and they had to be smog tested. My Mercedes Benz 600 was done in Europe. None of the ones coming in had the choke and horsepower killer stuff on them. The officials here did not believe me even with the papers or just look at it. They had to call Mercedes in Germany to verify it. That was what the phone book of papers I had said. Nope a guy 4,500 mile away had to say so at our 3:00am their 9:00 am. The MB 600 was the most powerful car I ever drove. Air suspension and air every thing, I think even the cigarettes lighter was on air pop. The interior was by Pullman, they did the cars on the Orient Express and other fancy things like my car. The Pullman people bought it for their museum in Chicago I think. They knew who bought them and paid very close to what I bought it for new.
The people that take care of my BMW raced a 2002. It is still just sitting on a rack in the repair shop. TheCongrats and best of luck with it!
When I loved cars, I wanted an 02 series BMW real bad.
nice little handling mod friendly racers back then.
