Like Blinky, I apologize if I missed the welcome thread, so many of them aren't legit that I get slack. You should know that I am NOT a Strat guy 
, but I do like Teles. Some of my best friends are die hard Strat guys, but I don't hold it against them.

I can appreciate them and I even like the way some of them look, I just don't like to play them. I wish I liked them, I really do.

I've played a couple of SGs and they're they were awesome, but my true love happened the first time I picked up a real Les Paul. I have a Melody Maker with a thin body like an SG, but it's an LP shape.

Can't express the gratitude for your gracious welcome...(ETA: I simply haven't the words that does justice to your generosity.)
I know it can be a touch off-putting to have a flood of defacto refugees crowding your living room. Those of us who are migrating over are doing so because the warm welcoming environment that you've opened up for us has ceased to exist over there.
Think "ferengi" ... in all of its cowardly opulence.
I speak for all of us ...
we know the value of what you have and we will not spoil it. In a brief period I know that you'll come to think of us as old friends you'd forgotten you had.

we will not piss on your rug.

I'm part of a group of us that came from another forum that turned toxic and we actually went to that forum for the same reasons..it's a long story. But I think we trickled in here one by one so maybe not the same.
Anyway, I personally think you guys are a breath of fresh air and I hope you'll stick around.
The “old timers” (and not so old) here get it. Pretty much, most of us migrated from somewhere else for the same reason as you new folk. And as long as you’re house trained, it’s all good. And welcome.
