Congratulations on it finally getting to ya Chris , it sure is a looker !!
It is a beautiful Epi, that headstock made me look twice, but Chris had said earlier in the thread that it is an Epiphone!!A big Congrats Sp8ctre on the new Gibbie!!! looks very nice.
That’s what friends are for brotherThanks Mitch, I looked at the photos, I didn't catch that.![]()
Looks so much better than the ad photos.
Congrats on a great looking new guitar, hopefully she sounds even better than she looks.
Right on !! Great to hear that !!Well, I'm happy to say it plays as good as it looks!
Best out of the box set up I've had yet. Very low action, nice smooth frets and perfectly intonated!
Epiphone has really stepped up their game!
Played this baby for almost an hour and my fingers aren't feeling a thing. Such a nice smooth action.
The pickups sound just like my Gibson or any other Humbuckers through this Kemper set up. I'll play through
a real tube amp tomorrow and see what she sounds like.
I'd recommend this to anyone with no hesitation. It's a solid well made guitar and I have not found a flaw on it yet!
Great Guitar in a Hardcase for $699 I mean how can you not love that???
Oh ya, forgot about that one.Very true! Not the flat tomato soup look that the ad photos showed. This looks like a beautiful bright cherry burst to me!
I can't wait to get the premium kit on Thursday with Joe B. Inlaid on the fret board!
Oh ya, forgot about that one.
I think the premium model is gonna be a looker, if this one exceeded expectations well....
Congrats, it's going to be difficult if your plan is keep one, flip one
Difficult indeed.
That's the plan?True, but the flip may be far in the future when they sell out. The Premium is very limited, 300 was the number I think I read.
It comes with a Full AA Maple Cap with a Flame Veneer. I can't wait to see it after seeing this standard model!
From Joes web site...
The limited-edition Epiphone Joe Bonamassa 1960 Les Paul Standard “Norm Burst” has a classic Mahogany body with a Norm Burst finish, and a AA Maple Cap with a Flame Veneer top, directly modeled from Joe’s 1960 original. The Epiphone “Norm Burst” is powered by Epiphone ProBuckerTM pickups crafted with the same materials as Gibson BurstBuckers. The tone controls feature MalloryTM tone caps and 50s style wiring. A “Lifton” style case and a Certificate of Authenticity are also included.
Who is this "Norm" they reference BTW?
