TVvoodoo's Straplab

So, @TVvoodoo ,

Just curious…what would be your strap recommendation for this little number?

@smitty_p Easy one!

The Jabberwock!

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Ask @Jethro Rocker if he likes his!
Only one left, then extinction

not super flexible. I mean they absolutely fold up, like in an 10" span, but they have padding and more "body" generally than most straps.
So if the convenience of strike/travel trumps your general playing comfort, probably wouldn't work for you in your case.

I guess I could say they are foldy, but not floppy

Everybody's workin' for the weekend... Duh-dunnananannanna

"Midas Paisley" is a custom order for Bart in Cali and it's going on a crazy pink paisley and gold Gretsch. Is it going to be a huge win? Or a terrible clash?

The gold on his gretsch is more of an orangy gold, but this strap is more in the greenifiying goldtop gold vein, in fact to my eye almost an exact match.

When a fellow gets the swarming paramecii in his blood, it can be rather mesmerizing.
Probably have another custom to show later tonight, completely different style, but also rather cool.

Also, a member of one of those other forums we don't want to talk about much here, the mighty Tim got a couple of customs, he already had a Shock & Awe

Cool. How flexible is it? I leave my straps on the guitar and just fold them up inside the case, still attached to the guitar.
As you know….. I have one of his straps. It may fold up enough for a gig bag. Guessing no if a hard case.

Well-Hung straps have substance and are built for comfort ove speed IMO. I love all three of mine.

I've never worried about getting the strap in my guitar case. Even some thin ones struggle in a LP case...

Ok, @Don O is it bad form to highjack my own thread?
Hey! Did that Red Paisley arrive yet?

Anyway to get back on the flight plan, meet "Holey Man"

If you hold your ear up to the sound holes and listen real close you can hear, Dimebag, Stevie Ray, EVH, Hendrix, Brad Gillis, Randy Rhoads and other famous deceased axemen depending on which hole you choose.

What should I build tomorrow?

Was out in the middle of the Pacific on Oahu for 7 days. The red guy was there at USPS when we returned. Looking for a Wambird one next .

I was getting a bit concerned because the tracking was telling me a "carrier issue" or some such thanks for the confirm! It's red innit?

Even better to be.... The PYTHON KING!

It's a Cinderella story, baby! Rags to riches. The result of an extreme creative screw-up, then a somewhat risky but heroic workshop recovery.
3" wide, padded, up to 60" long. Leather dyed black/ metallic gold/tiny hints of blue.

fun!
