Today I was cleaning up the bench a bit and saw a pair of black leather lighting bolt cutouts kind of floating around in the tools and junk, wondering mightily just where they had come from????
"Hmmmmm..." sez that little crazy guy that lives in my brain? "I wonder if I can...."

Hauled out my tickle trunk of saved fabric (I'm a bit of a pack rat that way). After digging around a bit, came up with some glittery gold stuff. That'll do. Today we're making a couple of straps in my long-running "Star Power" series, which I have let lapse without replenishment for too darn long. Star Powers are glittery, showy straps crafted to explode with pure awesomeness under hot stage lighting for positively pimpin' presence purposes.

While I was working on them, I came up with an appropriate name... introducing "None More Glam."

And a few hours later, modeled by a Hamer DC in Golden Wolf finish

^ Thank you @RVA means a lot to me! Write what you know LOL!

just uploaded this pic below to reddit., (and here I guess)- slightly adjusted...
I have a really small sub there called r/guitarstrapporn which I have been growing for quite some time. If you are a redditor I encourage you to have a look, suscribe, even contribute if you wish.

Hope @Thatbastarddon won't mind I show off his V. In a little info sheet I include I always ask folks to send back a photo of the strap with it's new mate because I am interested in where they go.
Maybe about 25% of the time I actually do get some, which I fully appreciate, and you bet I will use for further sellery purposes if it's sexy like this!

Today after tying up some loose ends, I figured why not attempt a really dark "ZAP!" with some scary leftover distressed nickel genocide stuff.

Also pleased to report we have a new Shock & Awe Recruit from Great Britain! Yesterday I sent a half-dozen Well-Hung Pro-Pins, (oversize strap buttons) all the way to Germany! Worldwide baby!

Haven't talked much about those here, not sure if I really should. But here's yesterday's feedback on them from a friend who also grabbed up "Xonoth", (the strap I showed you the making of a couple of weeks ago.)

"My second Well Hung strap-gorgeous leatherwork, comfortable and honestly worth every penny. The padding and lining fabric are superior to anything I have used. The Well-Hung strap buttons are a great addition as well-perfectly engineered, the idea of a large, thin button is such a great idea (it should be patented, hint hint). PRS tried a similar idea but made the leading edge of the button too thick, so you either have to cut the strap or unscrew the buttons every time you want to take it off." Scott S.

You can see one of those buttons on my "Reaper" strat below, but more importantly another strap I am working on finishing up called Graphite Python, which should be ready today.
This is not real python, it's embossed cowhide leather, with just a bit of semi-gloss shine to it.

Or, like this... in a wider sort of shot.

so many ideas, so little time. And the weather outside is gorgeous - Canadian Summers are too damn short!

This morning I was going through some boxes of material hidden underneath several other boxes and kind of found a treasure.
Not super proud of the situationt, but a six or seven years back some legal types from a certain prog band contacted me over a series of five straps I had made called "Supply & Command" or somesuch.
Yes, there is such a thing as a lawsuit guitar strap, well almost anyway. I never actually got trouble.

The strap series was based on a certain Canadian entrepenile character some of you might probably know, famous for living in a place called Sunnydale and for his many brain-thinking wisdoms.
Anyway the lawyers told me to cease and resist advertising this certain strap I had for sale, which under thread of law I complied.

Well, in this box this morning I found one of the series that I never completed, carefully rolled up and rubber-banded, just needing assemblication and sewing, so... what the hell?!!!
The band is done, (RIP Neil), but I sure ain't. One final "Supply & Command" is on the bench today. Huge houndstooth, black leather, some cool patches, and stripey D-ring tail adjustment.

One of the coolest damn things I've ever made.

Video Warning, salty language mixed with retardent ideas.
