TTR seems less active!

I had so much fun here and we used to post much more. Now its just crickets

Im still here and still posting my nonsense :)

Sometimes we all get into posting slumps. We all wondered where you had been for quite a few months. Glad you are back!

can they not put metal plate or something?
That is really a shame how that happened @steveb63 . Very poor.
In the case of the missus and her hrain surgery she is missing skull above her ear on right. This was planned, apparently in that case there can be some rejection oddly even with the same section put back in. So just fat stuffed in there.

She won't be riding a bike again even with a helmet. Not worth the risk.

I do hope they can fix this for you and you get stronger.

I took time off from TTR and focused writing songs and making my hand go faster.

Now, im back with my nonsense again.

Yea, not worth the risk man. I hope all will be well from now on with health.

Im sorry to hear that she had to experience that.

Getting stronger everyday.

Ans trust me, very thankful for a life and all the great things in it. So many are enduring much worse. Just wanted to turn in my school absence excuse.

I'm still alive.
I pop in & out every so often, just don't always log in.

The swamps have been nice & steamy the last few months, but so has everywhere else.
The wife is now officially retired, so now she's been after me to do stuff.
I'm pretty good at hiding, but sometimes she corners me. Then it's a zoo day or something else just as dreadful.
She also volunteers now at the local Humane Society a couple days a week. That gives me a little break.

No real excuses for my lack of posting, just had a busy time of things since Feb.
Celebrated my dads 94th birthday with him in Feb. and less than a week later he was in the hospital unable to catch his breath.
They had to open him up and repair a mitral valve & bypass something. It was a real nail biter for a while.
A whole month of running back & forth from Palmetto to the hospital in St. Pete kept me pretty occupied.
Then the twice a week rehab thing for a few weeks.
But it was worth it. He's back to good as new. O.K. maybe not quite new, as he is 94, but the old boy made an amazing recovery.
We've been back to our weekly lunch outings for Mexican food and beers, and we celebrated my 63rd bday in August at a steak house.

Right now he's spending a week in Antigua at a Sandals resort.

Hack, I gotta tell ya about this recent encounter. We have these tribute band concert series here each summer from June until Labor Day. Two weeks ago we were at the Aerosmith tribute band show and a guy at the table in front of us looked familiar but I couldn’t place the face. When I got home I remembered that he seemed to look like you. I found a pic of you with your dad here on TRR and went damn, you guys gotta be related.

So fast forward to Friday night and we are at the Boston tribute band show and low and behold he is at the table in front of us again. So I get out my phone and download that pic. At a break I go over and introduce myself and tell him about a friend in FL that looks a lot like him and I show him the pic. He goes damn, that’s amazing. We chat for a bit. A few minute later his wife returns and he asked me to show the pic to her. She says wow ! But then, being the good wife, says my hubby is better looking :pound-hand:

But here is the spooky part. We talk for a bit and he asks my name and reaches out to shake my hand, and when we did I got goose bumps. He is missing 2 fingers on his right hand ! I went OMG, you two are cosmically related somehow as I told him about your accident. I took a pic of him but somehow it was fubar. I’m sure I will see him again next year at the concerts. I’ll get a pic then and post. It was truly a twilight zone moment.

Hey all, I was sad to hear Adrian and Ray had left; I dont know what happened. I hope they are well.

I have been on less in general, busy at work, and at home.
I read a lot of threads and "like" often, just haven't had a lot to say.

I know I've been kinda absent for a fair while, been pretty much flat out at work. When I have visited, quite often my time has been taken up in pm's. Even then, posts have sometimes taken considerable time as I've typed in small bursts during work hours (when I really shouldn't be on the 'phone at all). Not having much to input of my own in general forum, I've usually "liked" others posts.
Today however, is different, I do have something to post about, so I''d best get to it. Cheers

Adrian is quite well, just busy as hell herding & wrangling the group of misfit monkeys that calls themselves a crew.
We met for lunch today. Something we used to do every few weeks, but has now become every few months due to his workload.
