Tonewood and Magnetism - Missing the Point

Would you a like an Alphabetized list---- a chronological list--- a list with arrest dates, restraining order copies and charges ----or just the basic response--- dont mess with crazy---

Don't mess with crazy or what?
Be careful. Slippery slope ahead.

Whatever has an influence on the way a string resonates will have an influence on the sound that the pickups pass on to the amplifier. I have moved pickups between guitars and noticed huge differences. All of my guitars are 24.75" scale, set-neck, Gibson type, rosewood fingerboard, Nashville TOM equipped guitars. How much of this is due to the species of wood or the thickness of the wood I do not know. But the differences between my Explorer (which is white limba or korina) and the three SGs (which are mahogany) is pretty huge with the same pickups.

This subject has been debated for almost as long as electric guitars have been around & I really cant see there being any conclusive proof either way any time soon. Might play my strat first today, or maybe SG. Cheers

Ahah!
The other thread...
That looks like a cool guitar.
Probably nice and light on the shoulder too.
A lot of people don't realize how much variety you can
get with one pickup, one volume control and one tone control.
Best of luck with the new guitar.
It looks like a keeper?

It is most certainly on the "keeper wall" Tony --- and agreed that (tmk only avail in this guitar) pup that is a replica of the 46 alnico rods with a slight "upgrade"---about a minute 12 in
