I recently orchestrated a trade with new member @Kix307 --- he got this
lovely gold top Gretsch Electromatic with REAL Filtertrons and grover tuner upgrades----------
I got............................................................A time capsule --- of 80's "kitsch" ------
a BAKED SALMON colored -- usa Made PEAVEY NITRO 1 ---- the ONE stands for 1 KNOB (or maybe one pickup who knows they drink a lot in Ms.)
its odd--- its loud--- its got a USA LOCKING KAHLER TREM --- a big ol KNOT in the wood on the back of the headstock -- a SERIOUS shredmaster neck -- and ...its actually hard to CONTROL the pinch harmonics and SQUEEEELS out of this thing ...
from what I can tell its ALL ORIGINAL -- -except for the NEW EB super slinky strings Kix graciously included ----
ANother vintage Peavey comes to the SWAMP ---
it is HEAVY for its style--Schaller pickup--- its got all the "zing:" of them fancy new Charvels -- but unlike them -- this is the THING they are copying!
80's "camp" and "pomp" at its zenith ---USA MADE by some rednecks in Ms. ---Kahler vintage funky trem (been 33 years since I strung one of those -- took me a minute---)
now for some parachute pants and a Delorean ..............................
Im getting BAKED !!!!!!! (also much like the 80's)
oh FYI I call it the Flamingo -- perfect coral Pink color--- I havent stopped GRINNING since UPS dropped it off at 4:30 ...............................that -- -is worth its weight in gold
