I know I posted this elsewhere over the years. Now that I know how many of us came from the neighborhoods around Bawlmer, and then those like Smitty who is a transplant to our state down in the southern part. Here is how to properly speak the Vocablaireee

This is giving me serious flashbacks/PTSD.

I lived thru this. Bmore is only a few miles from Lansdowne which is a few miles from Arbutus, where my girlfriend and I live.
Talk about flashbacks. My fully loaded protection is still in arm's reach here in Bodymore Muderland

There will never be another WILD BILL,. nor another jewel in my heart known as Memorial Stadium.
Our new park may be the trend setter of style and stadium design. But Memorial had Spirit and FUN.
Today's sporting events have sadly been marred by terrorism, riots, capitalism and the nanny state.

Gone forever are the days when cash paying fans could bring in coolers of beer or soda or bags full of sandwiches, chips, hot dogs etc. Now the folks at the gate will make you deposit a bottle of water in the trash before entering if the seal has been broken on the lid. Sad, but true, the Spirit is gone and so is Memorial Stadium, warts and all.
