To Attenuate or Use Volume Pedal In Loop?

It appears that there really is no official manual for any of the Weber attenuators. The image for the Mass Lite posted by Thatbastarddon is the most they provide, so I put something together. Attached is a PDF of the description of the Mass III, the image posted by TB-Don and the info from the Attenuator FAQ page of the Weber website. Hope this helps.

I got my attenuator yeserday and I am very happy. The tone is much more warm and full. However, seeing that I have to almost fully attenuate my 50W Marshall when it is on 3, makes me realize that i had no business buying a 50W amp.

I used my Weber Mass Lite 100 quite a bit when I first got it, then put it back in the box for a while. This morning, I pulled it out and hooked it back up. Wow - I didn't realize how it shapes the sound - as opposed to just reducing volume. I'm running volume on my "Red' channel at 9 O'clock - that's blazingly loud - and the attenuator knob around 7 O'clock, so there is a lot of attenuation going on here.

Gotcha....I've had good luck with CTS.

I used mini-pots (metric) on my Ibanez, but they have a very fast tone curve...that's the only part I don't like...

The little pots I tossed away by the handful. I checked a couple and they are more accurate than even the high price CTS. The only thing is they wear out fast. I will like them in my fun guitars but in my work guitars they last two months I guess. The wipers go south, a spray does nothing.

Ray I move the volume pedal amp to amp. The Master External volume knob I move as needed. I have a Weber 15 watt attenuator I bought for my AC 15 but I returned that Vox amp. I use the Weber Attenuator on my 15 watt reborn Monoprice amp.
