Tired of Fooling Around...

That's rad! You talking about the Mars that was on Rolling Road, just off of Route 40? That was my favorite music store of all time. Bill's had that kitschy vibe, but I generally just wanted to get in and out of there as quickly as possible (although that is where I did buy many a guitar over the years).
Dang, G. Rt40 and Rolling road is my old stomping grounds, can you say Double T Dinner :dood: . When did they put a Mars in, must have been after I moved to CA in 1976.

I think Late '90's. Strangely it opened after I moved to California, but I would go in there every time I was home to visit my parents. An amazing place, I'd spend too much time in there considering my trips to see them were always too short.

That Double T was the place we'd stop every time we were on our way home from debauchery at Hammerjack's, at like 3 in morning, to peruse the 800 items on the menu but still order the same thing every time...lots of vague/hazy memories of that place from the '80's here.

Oh, man! Congratulations on the find of the decade. WHAT a beauty. I hope it sounds and plays as good as it looks. Those T-Tops are REALLY killer, so I wouldn't be surprised if it does! I know a lot of people have problems with the narrow nut on these, but personally I have to say that thing would be one of my dream guitars. I was "weaned" on a toothpick-cum-baseball bat 1975 SG II, which probably has the narrowest nut I have ever played, so I wouldn't mind at all. If you ever get tired of it, you know where to send it.

honestly I LOVE drums-- but my hearing issues-- and the dogs (just cruel to subject them to the sound) and NO ROOM for a kit -- all conspire against me ---

So bass booming and guitar noodling will have to do

I've always been curious about drums. Since i already play bass and keys (like a relief pitcher) the drums will just add to my versatility. Its a fun challenge.

Nope Gball, it was on Joppa Rd at their other location in Towson. My order for the Pearl kit was taking extra long so I went over to Rt 40 location. All they had were the Orangish finish of the kit I wanted, which I did take home and examioned it to see if it grew on me. In the end, I returned it to Rt 40. However, I am fond of both the color I got and that orange. I chose to wait for the Cobalt Blue ones I had ordered.

Here is the kit I got and then the orange is the one I would have also loved but returned.
