The TTR Official Strat Pride Thread

You'll need a special guitar for that Robert if you are going to smoke your tubes.

Very nice.
I'm old but reasonably new to this guitar caper so most things are new to me. I've never seen a Fender set neck Strat before. The fingerboard looks dark is it ebony?

It’s rosewood.

Sysco, where’s groovy beach?

Well it looks like PhotoBucket is allowing it's users again to post pictures from what I heard just recently which is good news. Here's a couple of Stratocaster projects that I've been working on but haven't completed in a few years. Someday I'll get around to finishing them. I did the paint jobs myself and the top one I used Windsor & Newton oil paints which took a long time to dry but worked out well. It used to be a red Squier Bullet Strat. Hopefully you guys can see the image.

Here's a picture of my 20th anniversary Squier Standard Stratocaster. I customized the pick guard with various shades of oil paints to make a nice texture. It's a real heavy guitar...more heavier than my '98 Fender American Std. Strat because of the Agathis wood body.

Wow, those really deserve to be finished and played. Nice work!

I tried one once (quite a long time ago) & couldnt like it either. Never had the inclination to try one again. Cheers

If you find yourself playing a phrase on a Stratocaster, on the 'g' string, in the 10-17th fret area on the neck pickup, you will need it...
