Sweet!
No wonder you had four threads regarding that thing!
How’s that thing play?
It makes me think many things 70s.

TBTH --- it plays AMAZING--- the build quality is very nice--- neck is a THIN "C" shape --- very JACKSON ish.and fast-- tone is very Les Paul ish, but brighter..... heavy--sustains for days----not sure how I like the Epi "Probuckers" with the push pull pots yet....has a scarf joint --grovers--- but its groovy and has a tone of its own I was affraid it would just be a funny shaped Lester clone--- but it has its own weird voice. ANd its ugly as home made sin so no one will steel it BUWAHAHAHHAHA

---and I got it DIRT CHEAP--- in excellent condition not a scratch or ding--- build quality is on par with the upper line Epiphone Les Paul Customs which sell for what 600-800.00 new (insane--but true) so I am a happy camper

This afternoon I am fondeling the 70s Era japanese ET290 by Epiphone with HOT Carvin neck pup and Dimarzio Super D in the bridge.......this thing ---though all mellow and gold hardware-ish in stature ....rips METAL like you cant believe especially with the placement of the neck pup --- wowzers this thing is a scorcher

The Carvin's are nice. 22 adjustable pole pieces. That SD, if it's original, should be around 17k...

I played my EBMM Y2DSM through board # 3 into my 1965 Blackface Deluxe today.
It sounded really good and then I realized that I have never played through that gear set before.
Then I realized there must be bunches of gear combinations I have not experienced what with
9 guitars, 3 boards and 8 amplifiers that I actually gig with. Over 200 combinations there!
I have a project now. Gotta see what combinations sound good and what does not.
Gotta maybe make a spread sheet and graphs and the whole 9 yards!

YES!!!

I remind myself to practice acoustic at least a couple of times a month.
I enjoy it but have to get used to the feel of holding it all over again each time.
Good and cheap Yamaha FG700S.

my usual crappy pics with reflection through the blinds on the slider patio door.

Guitar "feel" is not an objective assesment.

Well, let's see...I prefer the big, thick necks, but I am resolved to evaluate this guitar fairly and not just toss it out (so to speak) because of the less then ideal "slim taper" neck profile...I think that came out right????

Believe me...I can't wait, but we have house-guests and people are trying to have conversations... :)

I see...

Ya know, when I was a kid and my Dad would practice singing for his a cappella, I would always say, "Dad, out to the shed". I feel bad now, but we always joke about it to this day. Guess that was 40 years ago....damn.....where the heck did the time go!!!

Any who.....go crank that amp Robert me boy!!! :):):dood::dood:

I'm teaching my daughter to play G-N-R's Knockin' On Heaven's Door tonight. But, I will make you a video of my tone this weekend!!!

Tonight I am playing Smokey, my Dean Soltero. This is the guitar that previously smelled like smoke, and now, after a year with a bar of soap, like a fragrant flower. It has a Burstbucker 2 in the bridge and Di Marzio 36 Anniversary in neck. It has a "V" shaped neck, that is very easy to play. that It is a very fine guitar.
